6. Super Bowl XIII

The fifth and final time the Super Bowl was played at the Orange Bowl in Miami featured the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. It was also the first Super Bowl to feature a rematch, as the Steelers had beaten Dallas back in Super Bowl X.

The Cowboys entered the contest as the defending champions, and both teams were in search of their third Super Bowl win.

The game looked to be well in hand as Pittsburgh held a 35-17 lead late in the fourth quarter. With the Steelers players beginning to celebrate on the sidelines, Dallas went to work on a last ditch effort to get into the game.

Roger Staubach led Dallas on an 89-yard touchdown scoring drive in just eight plays, which was followed up by a successful onside kick recovery. Staubach again went to work and hit receiver Butch Johnson on a four-yard touchdown pass, making the score 35-31.

There was just 22 seconds left in the game, but the turn of events was enough to have every Steelers fan holding their breath as Dallas lined up for one more onside kick. This time however, the Steelers were able to get possession of the ball and the wild fourth quarter came to an end.
