No. 25 South Carolina Gamecocks vs No. 8 Texas A&M Aggies
Frank Martin has always been known as a hard-nosed, no-nonsense type of coach and that is proving to be an effective style this season for the vastly-improved South Carolina Gamecocks. Going just 17-16 under Martin last year, South Carolina might be the SEC’s biggest surprise team at 19-3.

For a team that hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2004, the Gamecocks are well on their way in 2015-16. Michael Carrera will need to be on his game Saturday if he wants to will his team to a victory over the No. 8 team in the country. He has the ability to do so, averaging 13.8 points and shooting 45 percent from downtown.
If South Carolina isn’t the most improved team in the conference, it has to be the Texas A&M Aggies who top the SEC with a 7-2 conference mark and have an 18-4 overall record. Texas A&M hasn’t made the tourney since 2011 and Billy Kennedy has three wins away from tying last season’s total.
Jalen Jones leads the Aggies in scoring and rebounding with 16.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Senior guard Danuel House is closing in on him, though, averaging 15.7 points per game to go along with five rebounds per contest. This is the battle to see which team is the most improved in the SEC.
