Broncos defeat Panthers to win Super Bowl 50

The Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50
While it wasn’t the Super Bowl matchup we thought we’d be getting at the start of the season, the Broncos and Panthers turned in a Super Bowl that ranks up there among the best. It wasn’t a standout classic, but there was a lot to love about what we saw.
Both teams sported defenses that ranked among the best in the league, which is why it was of little surprise that we saw a defensive battle for the ages. Cam Newton was neutralized, Peyton Manning looked as mortal as ever and it was a dog fight to the very end.
While it was a defensive battle Peyton Manning ends his career as a Super Bowl champion. Of course, he hasn’t officially retired, but this was the moment we all thought we’d get back in 2013 when the Broncos got throttled by the Seahawks. That didn’t happen this time around Manning and the Broncos are finishing on top.
