Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was wearing Under Armour gold ‘MVP’ cleats before Super Bowl 50.

It’s been a big weekend for Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton as he prepares for his first Super Bowl. After a tremendous season, Newton was named MVP and Offensive Player of the Year at the NFL Honors on Saturday night.

Sunday, Newton arrived to Levi’s Stadium in style and he busted out a brand new pair of Under Armour cleats that highlighted his MVP.

The gold cleats from Under Armour, which are also available to fans for purchase, have the phrase “MVP” on them and are befitting of the golden anniversary of the Super Bowl.

On the tongue of the cleat is “C1N” to represent Newton’s initials and the number that he wears on game day. The gold spikes are likely to sell quickly and are some of the sickest looking cleats yet.

The gold represents more than just the Super Bowl, it represents the season in which Newton was better than the rest of the league and earned the highest honor for a single player.

Now, Newton has a chance to shine and lead his team to the franchise’s first Super Bowl on Sunday night.
