Fantasy Basketball: Waiver Wire Week 16
Welcome to the fantasy basketball Waiver Wire week 16 edition. We here at Fantasy CPR have a goal to help you win and dominate your fantasy sports leagues. We offer advice and help in regualr season formats and daily league formats like FanDuel and DraftKings. In our post today we offer up some names for you to consider adding to your regular season fantasy basketball teams.
Stanley Johnson of the Detroit Pistons has been balling out and playing very well lately. He has scored in double figures in nine of his last ten games and is looking like he is beginning to score with some consistency. His playing time seems to be good right now as well and should make him to be a decent pickup and a guy who could possibly break out during the last half of the season.
Aaron Gordon is only owned in 37,9% of ESPN.com leagues and I think that number is way too low. I realize he has had some ups and downs to his game lately, but it appears the Magic are going to let him play through it and keep him in the starting lineup. He is a prime candidate to break out in the second half of the season and be a guy you wish you would have added sooner.
Evan Turner is on fire right now. He makes for a nice pickup but as we know he could fizzle out anytime. Pick him up with tempered expectations, but know that if a banged up Jae Crowder should miss an extended amount of time Turner is going to easily become a guy that you are thankful you picked up. Grab Turner if you have a spot to burn.
If you are in need of some help at point guard then Norris Cole is the guy for you. He is fairly inconsistent, but is logging a solid 30 minutes a night and is seeing some extra touches with Tyreke Evans on the shelf. Cole is a guy you only want to add if you have someone to cut who is not producing or you need help at his position.
Taj Gibson is still a guy that I believe is under-owned. He is only owned in 43.9% of ESPN.com leagues and is getting an easy 34 minutes per game over the last two weeks. His numbers are solid and with the injury problems for the Bulls his outlook does not forecast to change at all. Pick him up if he is out there floating around on your league’s waiver wire.
