Despite all of his antics on and off the pitch, there is no doubting that Jose Mourinho deserves to be employed somewhere. So where exactly could he land?

Since his dismissal from Chelsea in December, under-performing coaches from all over Europe have been nervously looking over their shoulders for Jose Mourinho. While he’s not been formally linked with a move, there’s little doubt that there will be a bidding war for him sooner rather than later.

That being said, it’s by no means a foregone conclusion that Mourinho gets the big club he might feel himself entitled to. Barcelona won’t be moving on from Luis Enrique any time soon, for example, nor will Juventus be getting rid of Massimiliano Allegri if they have the choice.

Bayern Munich might be losing Pep Guardiola to Manchester City in the summer, but they’ve already appointed Carlo Ancelotti to take over.

The big clubs that might have vacancies in the summer –Real Madrid and Chelsea– sit across two of the many bridges Mourinho has burned in his career.

Even “second tier” teams like Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and Napoli all have coaches who are already set to lead them into the next season and beyond.

Which leaves us with roughly five options for Mourinho going forward, barring some unforeseen drama. Here they are, ranked from least to most likely.
