No. 5 Iowa Hawkeyes vs Illinois Fighting Illini
The Iowa Hawkeyes are one of the top teams in college basketball and that’s not really something anyone expected at the start of the season. Losing some key players, Iowa had an uphill battle to fight, but this team is hotter than just about anyone in the Big Ten and the Hawkeyes aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

Jarrod Uthoff might be a national player of the year candidate before it’s all said and done and his ability to do just about everything for the Hawkeyes is impeccable. Uthoff is averaging 18.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. He’s also shooting over 46 percent from long-range.
John Groce and the Illinois Fighting Illini are not having the greatest season and it might seem like the leash for the head coach is being shortened. The Fighting Illini have lost 7-of-10 games and are looking like one of those teams in the Big Ten who might miss out on any type of postseason play.
Malcolm Hill has been an absolute star with the Fighting Illini through the turbulent times. He’s averaging 19.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Kendrick Nunn has missed some time due to injury and if he’s healthy, he could be a nice complement a piece to Hill, averaging 17.3 points per game.
