Luka Modric scored an incredible goal in the 85th minute to give Real Madrid a 2-1  victory Granada.

Real Madrid has done well to turn things around and get back to winning ways under Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman has his side firing on all cylinders, and doing their best to keep up with league-leaders, Barcelona.

However, on Sunday they found themselves in a fight against Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes. After Karim Benzema opened the scoring and gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute, Youssef El Arabi leveled things up in the 60th.

With time quickly slipping away and Los Blancos on the brink of dropping two more crucial points to fall six points from the top of the table, Luka Modric came to the rescue. The Croatian chose the perfect time to score his first league goal of the current campaign, when he sent a blistering shot past Granada goalkeeper, Andres Fernandez.

"GOOOOOOOAL! GOLAZO! BUT! Whatever you call it, Luka Modric just tore the house down! #GCFvRMAhttps://t.co/V1gap3u2Za— beIN SPORTS USA (@beINSPORTSUSA) February 7, 2016"

Modric has now featured in 23 league games for the Spanish giants this season, having picked four assists along with his lone goal. He has also played in three UEFA Champions League matches, scoring one goal in the continental competition as well.

As a result of the victory, Real Madrid are now just four points back of Barcelona, but have a daunting task in trying to catch up with them. Zidane’s men will be back in action on Saturday when they host Athletic Bilbao at the Santiago Bernabeu.
