Peyton Manning non-committal on retirement after Super Bowl 50 win (Video)
After Peyton Manning and the Broncos won Super Bowl 50, but was non-committal on his retirement and future
Before Super Bowl 50 every kicked off, there was speculation galore about whether or not Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning would be playing in the last game of his career on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. There were numerous people who believed that, win or lose, Manning would announce his retirement after the Super Bowl.
The Broncos won on the shoulders of a strong defensive performance against the Panthers, but as far as Peyton Manning and his future in the NFL is concerned, there was no resolution.
Talking with Tracy Wolfson of CBS immediately after the score went final, Manning was non-committal about his plans and his future as a player, saying that he has a lot on his to-do list before he makes that type of life-changing decision. Oh yeah, he also said that he’s planning on drinking a ton of Budweiser on Sunday night before he makes any decision:
Peyton Manning continues to be the best in terms of his subtle entertainment, but there is no word on what the 39-year-old (he turns 40 in March) will do after this season. However, wouldn’t it be the perfect ending for his career if he were to capture his second Super Bowl victory in his final game of his career?
