Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will serve as the Carolina Panthers‘ guest drummer during Super Bowl 50.
The Carolina Panthers mantra all season has been “Keep Pounding” and they will look to stick to it against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, when the two teams face off in Super Bowl 50.
Not only will the mantra apply to the way the Panthers play, but it also to the team’s drum line. During Super Bowl 50, the Panthers will have a special guest drummer. With the game being played in the bay area, the guest drummer will be none other than Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.
Hailing from North Carolina, Curry is a gigantic Panthers fan and he’s great friends with Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. To see his favorite team with a chance to win a Super Bowl is a dream come true for Curry.
Curry won his first career MVP award and championship last season, now it looks as though Cam Newton is on the same trajectory. Newton was named MVP on Saturday at the NFL’s honors ceremony, and is 60 minutes away from his own personal double.
Curry will be there to support the Panthers in his own custom Super Bowl jersey and will be pounding away on the drum.
