Andre Caldwell didn’t wait long at all to troll Cam Newton and the Panthers in Super Bowl 50

The Denver Broncos got the ball first in Super Bowl 50 and Peyton Manning and company looked like they were going to catch the Carolina Panthers by surprise with how easily they seemingly were moving the ball down the field on the opening drive. One play where they made it look exceptionally easy was a 22-yard pass down the sideline to Andre Caldwell, who came up with the nice grab for the first down:

Of course, a 22-yard gain in the early going of the game—even the Super Bowl—isn’t anything to write home about. Caldwell changed that quickly, though, as he got back to his feet and then hit Cam Newton’s Superman celebration and then his patented dab:

With how flamboyant Cam and the Panthers are in terms of their celebratory antics (regardless of if you think that the children need to avert their eyes or not), the Broncos were always going to have a little bit of fun at the expense of Carolina in this game whenever they made a big play. Caldwell was the first, but you can almost surely expect to see much more of it going forward.

For what it’s worth, the Broncos were stopped short of the end zone and had to settle for a field goal.
