Super Bowl 50: Panthers, Broncos injury reports

Who made the injury report for Super Bowl 50?

After playing in 18-games so far this season, both the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers are a little banged up. It’s hard to not be gassed, bruised and a little broken after a journey like these two teams have had, and there is still one more game to go.

Players dream of playing in a Super Bowl, and the last thing you want to have happen is to suffer an injury that keeps you out of the game. Kelvin Benjamin tore his ACL in the preseason and has missed the entire year, so his absence doesn’t sting as much as that of a veteran like Jared Allen or DeMarcus Ware might.

Both men were rumored to be on the Broncos free agent radar in 2014, but both have landed in the Super Bowl this year anyways. They’ve also both ended up on the injury report — but things aren’t as grim as they may seem.

Here’s a look at who made the final injury report of the season:

Broncos

Probable: TE Owen Daniels (knees), LB Todd Davis (shoulder), CB Chris Harris(shoulder), QB Peyton Manning (foot), LB Brandon Marshall (ankle), G Evan Mathis (ankle), S Darian Stewart (knee), G Louis Vasquez (knee), S T.J. Ward (ankle), LB DeMarcus Ware (knee, back)

Panthers

Probable: DE Jared Allen (foot), LB Thomas Davis (forearm), RB Mike Tolbert (knee)

The fact that Thomas Davis is playing goes to show just how hard guys grind to win a Super Bowl. The man broke his arm two weeks ago and is just going to wrap that bad boy up and roll. Ditto with Jared Allen, who has a broken bone in his foot but is going to try and play anyways.

You can question whether or not each team deserves to be in the Super Bowl this year, but there’s no questioning the dedication of the men on the rosters that got there.
