Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Thomas Davis is ACTIVE on Sunday for Super Bowl 50.

Incredibly, Thomas Davis is going to play on Sunday. Davis broke his arm in the NFC Championship Game two weeks ago and immediately declared he would be giving it a go in the ultimate contest, and he is delivering. Davis has been through it all on the injury front, dealing with three torn ACLs in his career.

Davis made the Pro Bowl in 2015, showcasing that he is one of the best players in the NFL. From 2009-11, Davis was only able to play in nine combined games due to his knee injuries. Since coming back strong in 2012, Davis has played in 62 or 64 possible games and notched four straight 100-tackle seasons. This year, Davis made four interceptions and a career-best 5.5 sacks.

With Davis on the field, he gives a bad Denver Broncos offensive line one more problem to worry about. Carolina has one of the best front sevens in the league, led by Davis, Luke Kuechly, Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short. The Panthers are favored by 4.5 points and should be coming into the contest charged up emotionally with Davis playing in what has to be tremendous pain after having screws put into his arm.
