Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller wins the Super Bowl 50 MVP award.
It isn’t too shocking, but Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was named the MVP of Super Bowl 50. Miller was a dominant force in the game and our favorite for the award heading into the fourth quarter.
Miller made Newton’s day a living nightmare, sacking him 2.5 times. He also had one pass deflection and two quarterback hits. Miller also forced the fumble that Malik Jackson recovered to score an early touchdown and take a lead early in the game, one that the Broncos would never relinquish.
Von Miller became just the sixth defensive player in the last three decades to earn Super Bowl MVP honors.

He led the No. 1 defense in the league throughout the course of the season, and the old adage that defense wins championships rang true once again thanks to Miller.
No. 1 defenses from the regular season are now 10-2 in the Super Bowl since the 1970 merger

Wonder if he is going to celebrate like quarterback Peyton Manning, which would be to drink copious amounts of Budweiser.
