The 100 ‘Ye Who Enters Here’ recap

“Ye Who Enters Here” is by far the best episode of Season 3

We get insight to what Lexa’s thinking and how the inside of Polis works. We go back to Mount Weather, but it doesn’t last long. And the Ice Queen finally graces us with her presence.

The episode starts right off with Clarke and Lexa hashing things out. And it’s pretty hard not to notice the tension between the two, sexual and otherwise. You really don’t know if they’re going to kill each other or attack each other with their faces. That’s the thing I really love about their dynamic. They have so much history and their relationship is a complicated one. Clarke is still far from forgiving Lexa, but that’s what makes them a great power couple and so great to watch.

Alright, I got it, enough with the Clexa. Lets get into the episode.

Clarke and Lexa don’t waste anytime going back and forth about Lexa’s betrayal in the Season 2 finale. Lexa turns it around on Clarke and asks her if she would have taken the deal to save her people. Clarke tells her she wouldn’t have betrayed her friends, but Lexa reminds her that she did the same thing when she made the decision to kill the people in Mount Weather.

Lexa tells Clarke that she is having a summit later that night and that she would like Clarke’s people, the Skaikru, to become the thirteenth clan. Clarke isn’t having any of it. She refuses to bow to Lexa and adds in a nice little “go float yourself” for good measure.

Oh snap.

We follow Lexa into her throne room where we see representatives from the twelve clans. All of them bow except the Ice Nation rep. He questions why “Wanheda” is still alive, and says that they don’t make deals with enemies. He asks Lexa if Clarke is her “weakness,” and if so, says that the Ice Queen could take care of that problem again. Now, was this seriously a smart thing to say to the Commander? Remember when we learned that the Ice Queen killed Lexa’s girlfriend, Costia, because she was a weakness for Lexa?

Lexa goes for a “talk” with the Ice Nation rep, but instead power kicks him right off her tower, landing him in the market of Polis, which seems like a normal thing that happens in the city.

Point being: don’t ever question Lexa’s decisions or threaten to kill the one she loves.

Bellamy, Gina, Raven, and Octavia enter Mount Weather and find that the Farm station survivors have already moved in. Octavia warns them that this could cause problems with the Grounders.

Back in Polis, Roan and Clarke have a little chat about revenge. Roan wants Lexa dead. He needs help from Clarke, because she is closer to Lexa. And with Lexa dead, his mother will become ruler of the Coalition.

We see Octavia and Bellamy talking outside of Mount Weather. She tells him that going back into the mountain is a bad idea and that she’s waiting for the kill order to be lifted off of Lincoln. Also, she says she can’t wait to leave because she doesn’t fit in with the Sky people. Bellamy understands.

They get interrupted by Farm station members. They’re bringing in a prisoner who happens to be Echo (Grounder girl that saved Bellamy’s life last season). Octavia and Bellamy let her go and she warns them the summit is a trap and their people will be killed.

Inside Mount Weather, Bellamy informs Raven, Gina and Sinclair of the threat. Sinclair and Pike get into an argument about using Mount Weather’s missiles. Raven steps in and says she might be able to figure out the launch codes. Gina also stays behind to help Raven while Bellamy makes his way with Echo to Polis to warn them about the attack.

In between scenes, we get clips from an Ice Nation assassin setting a countdown.

So, that’s obviously going to turn out just great for everybody.

Abby tells Kane he is better suited as Chancellor, as she sees him accepting food and talking to the people of Polis. Meanwhile, Lexa is training a young boy of the Nightsblood when Titus tells her the Sky people have arrived. He warns her that making the Sky people the thirteenth clan could make bad waves with the Ice Queen.

Clarke request a meeting with Lexa and promptly charges at her with a knife she got from Roan. Lexa, with a knife held to her throat, apologizes for turning Clarke into this. Clarke, unable to go through with killing Lexa, drops the knife and becomes emotional. Lexa tells her she is free to go and her mother is here, but Clarke has a better idea.

Abby and Clarke are finally reunited, and without a moment wasted Clarke tells Abby that things have been changed and that their people will become the thirteenth clan to avoid a war.

Sundown hits and we’re treated to an epic version of the Grounder National Anthem. This montage is definitely one of my favorites scenes in the show. The live singing was a beautiful touch.

Clarke walks through the doors and bows to Lexa, leading everyone else to follow. Lexa welcomes everyone to the summit—she needs the leader of the Skaikru to bear the mark. Abby gives the honor to Kane. Soon after, Bellamy and Pike barge in on the ceremony with a hostage in hand and warn them of the trap. They soon realize that Echo isn’t with them.

The Ice Nation’s assassins’ countdown goes off and he enters Level 7 of Mount Weather. Raven is starting to get frustrated and wants to give up. Sinclair gets her a much needed pep talk. We see a little bit of Raven’s vulnerable side as she says she’s scared that she will always be “broken.” This was a really great scene for Raven and let us know that her disability is still something she is struggling with.

We see Gina in the presidents office looking for the codes when the assassin appears behind her and stabs her in the stomach. He reveals to have codes on his arms that set off Mount Weather’s self-destruct feature. Gina is able to reach Raven on radio and tells her about the self-destruction. Sinclair runs after the assassin and the two fight, but before the assassin can kill him, Raven shoots him dead. They’re able to get the code, but Gina is dead. The countdown reaches zero, blowing up Mount Weather and all of the Farm Station survivors inside.

Raven radios Bellamy at the summit and tells him that the Grounders attacked Mount Weather and only her and Sinclair made it out alive. Lexa declares war and has the Ice Nation rep, along with Prince Roan, arrested. Bellamy wants Clarke to go back with them, because Lexa will always put her people first. Lexa tells him she will be safe under her protection, and Clarke agrees to stay.

After everyone leaves, Clarke warns Lexa to never betray her again. Lexa swears she won’t and kneels before Clarke. Clarke helps Lexa to her feet and the two share a silent yet powerful moment.

Outside of Polis, Echo appears to tell the Ice Queen, Nia, that she got her war. Also, she reveals that Emerson was the one who gave the codes to destroy Mount Weather.

It’s only Episode 3, and The 100 is giving us nonstop action. I mentioned last week that one of the things I loved about the show is how it doesn’t drag things out. This episode kept up that tradition. It gave us another short reunion with Abby and Clarke. It doesn’t leave us waiting, just wanting more.

Quick notes:

  • Rest in peace Gina, you deserved better
  • No Murphy or Jaha in the episode, but that’s okay—there was already too much to handle
  • Anyone else sensing an Octavia blow-up soon?
  • We finally saw the Ice Queen and she’s ready for blood. I’m not okay with this.
  • Let’s just talk about that last Clarke and Lexa scene for a minute. Pretty sure Lexa proposed. And I’m pretty sure Clarke was about to say yes.
