Daniel Bryan announced his retirement on Monday from WWE and the internet reacted.
Monday afternoon the professional wrestling world got the news that they were not ready to hear, that being Daniel Bryan will in fact be retiring from in-ring competition. While we were all still holding out hope that Bryan would be medically cleared at some point to return to action, that hope was dashed on Monday when Bryan himself made the announcement on Twitter.
Of course, this is devastating news, as Bryan was one of the most popular stars of this generation, and the most skilled in the ring as well. WWE is losing themselves a huge hand here with the retirement of Bryan from the ring, and his loss will no doubt be felt.
With this news carrying so much weight, people took to Twitter after the announcement to let their feelings be known.
@WWEDanielBryan #ThankYouDanielBryan for your entertainment & superb wrestling over the years, future @WWE Hall of famer??? #YesYesYes
