Following the Super Bowl loss, Ron Rivera took the time to speak to the media in Levi’s Stadium.

The Carolina Panthers were one of the best teams in the NFL all season long, and for as talented as this team was on the field, it was also a testament to the coaching efforts of head coach Ron Rivera. For the past few seasons Rivera has proven to be one of the better coaches in all of the NFL, and this trip to the Super Bowl was more than deserved.

However, Rivera’s first trip to the Super Bowl as head coach did not go as planned. When all was said and done in Levi’s Stadium on Sunday night, the Panthers walked away with a crushing 24-10 loss, bringing them right back down to earth. It was a harsh outing for the man that has turned this team into a serious contender in the time that he has been there.

But for as crushing as the loss was, Rivera still had to meet with the media after the game to address loss.

Of course, one of the first things that was asked of Rivera was to talk about the way his quarterback, Cam Newton, just upped and walked out of his press conference.

At that point, that was really the only answer that he could give. But you’d have to expect that he’ll have a conversation with his star signal caller about his behavior.

Then the fumble near the end of the game caused by Von Miller was brought up where it appeared that Cam didn’t give much of an effort. Rivera also had a response to that.

Then, of course, he had a positive message for his team that had accomplished so much this year.

Really, there’s not a question in a lot of people’s minds that Rivera and this Panthers team will be back in this position some day soon down the road if they continue to build what they already have.
