DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 9
The NBA has a nice five-game slate for tonight, and you can get in on the DFS fantasy basketball action with the help of my DraftKings daily picks.
The NBA is celebrating Lunar New Year throughout the month and one of their big headliner games is the Warriors-Rockets matchup at ORACLE Arena tonight. Expect to se plenty of Chinese characters (like those above) on uniforms tonight and some unique animals sprinkled throughout the advertising at the five games tonight as the Year of the Monkey begins. The Rockets and Warriors are just two of the ten teams in action tonight which provide a solid slate of DFS fantasy basketball options. To see the players I think you should target for tonight, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides.

There is an extra hour to finalize rosters tonight since the first games don’t tip off until 8:00 PM ET instead of the typical 7:00 start. Once they start they do get going quickly, though, with three games scheduled to tip off at 8:00. The Bucks host Boston in one of those contests while the Knicks play their first game since Derek Fisher was fired as they host the Wizards. The TNT double-header gets underway with the Spurs taking their talents to South Beach to face the Heat and concludes with the tasty Rockets-Warriors matchup at 10:30. The only other game is a 8:30 tipoff between the Mavs and Jazz in a matchup of two teams that may end up fighting for the last few playoff spots in the Western Conference (currently the Mavs are #6 and the Jazz are #8).
To see the options I like for fantasy basketball from those ten teams, check out my DRaftKings daily picks on the following slides. You’ll find two slides per position–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two selections with extras thrown in where possible. I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
At the beginning of 2016, I started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence. On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.
