DeMar Derozan took flight against the Timberwolves for an epic dunk
The Toronto Raptors have soared up the standings this season in the Atlantic Division. Entering Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Raptors lead the Atlantic Division and trail only the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference standings. A huge reason for their success has been shooting guard DeMar Derozan. Derozan showed why he was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team late in the first quarter against the Timberwolves.
Just a freakishly athletic play and finish there from DeRozan. It’s something that Raptors fans have come to expect from their All-Star shooting guard. Thus far this season, DeRozan has a career high 23.2 points per game with a career high 4.1 assists per game. He is also averaging 4.4 rebounds per game. DeRozan’s PER (player efficiency rating) of 21.4 is third on the Raptors and second among Raptors who have played in at least 35 games.
DeMar Derozan has finally been getting the recognition that he has been deserving for quite some time. He has been named the Eastern Conference player of the week once this season and was also named the Eastern Conference co-Player of the Month along with teammate point guard Kyle Lowry.
