The action tonight is fairly early-heavy with three games starting at 7:00 PM ET–Hornets-Pacers, Spurs-Magic, and Kings-76ers. At 7:30 three more games get underway including Doc Rivers and Paul Pierce returning to the TD Garden while at the same time the Nets host Memphis in Brooklyn and the Pistons welcome in the Nuggets to the Motor City. As we get to 8:00, there are four games starting including the Lakers-Cavs who are the featured game on ESPN. Also at 8:00, the Bulls take on the Hawks, the Wolves host Toronto, and the Jazz visit the Pelicans. In the last two games of the night, at 9:00 the Warriors play for the second night in a row as they visit the Suns in Phoenix. At 10:30 in the final matchup of the night, the Rockets and Blazers close out the night on ESPN in the only late game. After the first 11 games, everyone will be focused on that game to close out the night and see who goes home with the cash on this final giant NBA night of the first half.
To see the players I like from those 12 games tonight, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides. You’ll find two slides per position–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two selections with extras thrown in where possible (which is every spot with so many options). I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
At the beginning of 2016, I started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.
