Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has proven the power of social media.
Bengals’ quarterback Andy Dalton has proven his doubters wrong. Following a series of tweets yesterday announcing that he had lost two black suitcases out the back of his pickup truck while driving down a highway in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. At the time, even Dalton was calling the search a longshot but the only thing he could think to do in the situation.
If anybody in DFW traveling from 75-635 towards the airport finds 2 black suitcases on the road please contact me. Fell out bed of our truck

Thanks for those spreading the word. If you happen to have them, send a pic. And trust me...I know this is a long shot. #bagsearch2016

Midway through the day, the bags still were MIA. However, Andy Dalton had not given up hope of his bags being returned to him.
Still haven't found the bags but still believing they are out there... #bagsearch2016

Maybe it was meant to be or possibly just some extreme luck that the man that found the bags also uses Twitter as the star QB announced on Twitter last night that he had recovered his bags, declaring the power of social media to be real. Andy Dalton also publicly thanked the man that found the bags whose name we now know is named Robert.
#bagsearch2016 is officially over! Thankful that Robert found our bags. The power of social media is real! pic.twitter.com/3lzPnef0FL

And with that post, we are officially able to call off #bagsearch2016. All parties were safely recovered and returned home with minimal scratches, likely warm and still full. The news also shows the good side of social media, which has now allowed two lost and scared bags to be returned to their owner, where they will now be safe and sound. That is, as long as Mr. Dalton secures them properly in the bed of his trucks from now on.
