No. 4 Iowa Hawkeyes vs Indiana Hoosiers

Not many people would have expected the Iowa Hawkeyes to have quite the start to the 2015-16 season that they have put together at this point. Since Iowa’s first Big Ten loss to Maryland two weeks ago, the Hawkeyes have reeled off three straight wins by double-digits and are looking to make it four straight on Thursday.

Jarrod Uthoff has been the spark plug who has kept this team going in the right direction all season long. He’s averaging 18.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. Peter Jok is looking like one of the top complementary pieces in the conference, averaging 15.5 points and shooting 41 percent from the three-point line.

Indiana fell out of the rankings for the first time in weeks after a tough loss to Penn State over the weekend. Those are games in which the Hoosiers just simply cannot overlook and should never lose if they want to seriously have an impact on the conference title race. Tom Crean’s club is still 19-5 and on the fringe of the Top 25.

Yogi Ferrell is one of the top point guards in the country and he’s a catalyst who can get the offense going in a heartbeat. The senior guard is averaging 17.3 points, 5.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting around 46 percent from long range. The absence of James Blackmon Jr. hasn’t hurt too bad just yet, but it’s starting to become harder to deal with for the Hoosiers.
