We know Markieff Morris is surely going to be on his way before the NBA trade deadline, but what deals can the Phoenix Suns make to start fixing their team?

Quite frankly, the Phoenix Suns are a mess right now. It’s not hard to see it and the promotion of Earl Watson as the new head coach isn’t magically going to fix everything. Firing Jeff Hornacek was never going to suddenly solve the lack of talent, the lack of cohesion on the court, and most importantly the chemistry issues of the team. On Wednesday night, seeing a confrontation break out as Markieff Morris seemed to put his hands on the throat of Archie Goodwin, things took a turn for the worse.

Even without access behind closed doors, it’s not hard to miss the obvious disarray in Phoenix. The Suns just need to start hitting the reset button, and the appropriate trades to move unwanted players (we all know who) and make changes for the future are more necessary than they are for most teams around the NBA.

John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports has reported that the increase in Morris’ role can help his trade value, as the Suns’ plan to move him hasn’t changed:

"Morris’ trade value is not very good right now and one good game will not change that. If he can string together a few good, consistent games, maybe things can change. But as of now it will still be hard to get value for him in any deal. Morris should have been shown the door a long time ago. But he is still here and just now decided to earn some of the $8 million he is making. But it remains in the Suns’ best interest to move him and that continues to be what the plan is."

So, as well as a few trade ideas to send Morris on his way, here are some deals the Suns need to consider.
