There is a Los Angeles Lakers fan who must really want Ben Simmons on the team for the 2016 season.

The Lakers have been a mess in the 2015-16 NBA season. They have young pieces like D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson, but have only piled up 11 wins through the first four months.

The team is also set to lose future NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant to retirement. He hasn’t been himself for a few seasons due to injuries while Father Time has also caught up with him in his 20th season.

If there is a silver lining for Lakers fans, it’s the possibility of getting one of the top picks in the 2016 NBA Draft. It has to be in the top-three, though, due to a protection on the pick from a 2012 trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. Anything below pick No. 3 will go to what’s currently the Eastern Conference’s worst team.

If the Lakers can land the No. 1 pick, it could be LSU Tigers freshman Ben Simmons. He is seen as the top player in the upcoming draft and LA will surely want to take him.

Well, it seems fans want him too, including a passionate one who wants Simmons so much that he made a song and music video for the 19-year-old. It’s interesting, to say the least and titled “Ben Simmons’ Comin’ Here (Lakers Tank Anthem)”.

Tanking is probably what plenty of Laker fans are hoping for with this season already lost. Being able to get Simmons wouldn’t be bad compensation, but if they fall out of the top-3, there will be many angry supporters of the Purple and Gold.
