What NASCAR Sprint Cup races will be airing on NBC this year?
The NASCAR season is drawing near and everyone is excited for another season of Sprint Cup racing. The first race of the season is the Daytona 500 and will be aired exclusively on FOX. While FOX might have the Daytona 500, NBC has the second half of the season and the chase.
NBC airs the second half of the season their network and will also air some races on NBC Sports. Some race classics including the Southern 500, Brickyard 400, Chicagoland 400 and of course the championship round at Homestead will be aired on the network.
There’s nothing bigger in Sprint Cup racing than the chase and each of the races will be aired on NBC or NBC Sports this year. Those races include Talladega, Martinsville, Phoenix and many other races that set up the final showdown for a championship.
Last year saw some of the biggest moments occur during NBC’s coverage. Kyle Busch won the first championship of his career in a final week that included Jeff Gordon‘s last race last season. The bad blood between Joey Logano and Matt Kenseth also boiled over last season on NBC. The intensity always picks up late in the year and NBC will have it all.
