2016 NFL free agency will be wild. Here are three predictions for the open market.

Each spring, we get NFL free agency. It is always full of grand declarations, either by pundits claiming that a team put itself over the proverbial top, or by the swipe of a pen followed by organizational chest-thumping.

It’s amazing that so many teams make high-priced mistakes every year, while others are completely content to draft and develop talent. Not shockingly, it is the former who are always watching the latter play in the postseason, all fighting for the Lombardi Trophy.

This year, the stakes are no different. Some of the best talent in the league will become available, and many of the same suspects will throw millions upon millions at them, hoping for the quick fix. On the flip side, there will be other franchises who barely spend a dime, instead choosing to retain their own players or simply watch quality talent walk out the door.

There are a bevy of big names going into free agency this March. Most of them will be gobbled up with the franchise tag before free agency opens on March 9 (the tampering period begins March 7), but some will make it through and cause a bidding war.

Here are three predictions for that crazy time.
