Serge Aurier picked up a suspension for the unlikeliest of reasons when he made a derogatory comment regarding his coach and star teammate.

Serge Aurier ought to know better. He went on Periscope to answer a few questions, but when asked about his teammates and coach, he went way over the line. He used all kinds of derogatory terms when describing his coach’s relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as well as insulting backup goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and Gregory van der Wiel. Here is the full video in French:

BT Sport’s Julien Laurens was kind enough to provide a translation. (WARNING: NSFW language)

And when asked, he called Sirigu “finished” and van der Wiel “s—e” (that is according to Sergi Dominguez).

Unsurprisingly, Aurier picked up a suspension for the team’s upcoming Champions League game against Chelsea:

It’s a real shame for Aurier. PSG are one of the most talented teams on the planet as both them and Barcelona are on one of the longest unbeaten runs of all time. Aurier was a key contributor to their success as a versatile defender who can line up at centre-back or on one of the flanks.

Losing a player like him just as they are about to take on a red-hot Chelsea team who will unquestionably want to avenge last year’s loss to them is a huge blow. Don’t be surprised if further sanctions start heading his way soon.
