Kevin Owens pinned Tyler Breeze in a Fatal 5-Way on WWE RAW to win the Intercontinental title
WWE RAW on Feb. 15 from Anaheim, CA kicked off with Dean Ambrose out to once again call out one of his opponents in the No. 1 Contenders Triple Threat match at WWE Fastlane on Feb. 21 in Brock Lesnar. However, Stephanie McMahon came out to cut him off and instead forced him to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Fatal 5-Way against Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, and Tyler Breeze.
The match was chaotic to say the least as all five men absolutely were beating the daylights out of one another. After a nice spot where Ziggler hit a Zig-Zag on Ambrose who simultaneously hit Dirty Deeds on Stardust, Breeze took out Dolph, ut was then caught by Owens for the Pop-Up Powerbomb. That was enough for the 1-2-3 and to make Owens the new Intercontinental Champion:
"¡Y en una tremenda exhibición, @FightOwensFight recupera el #ICTitle en un #FatalFIVEWay en #RAWxFOXmx! https://t.co/eOsPhJhLnu— WWE México (@wwe_mex) February 16, 2016"
This is certainly an incredible development on the go-home episode of WWE RAW for the Fastlane pay-per-view. Not only does it likely put Owens on the card in a match for his newly acquired title, but it also opens up the possibilities in the triple threat main event.
One of the biggest initial problems with the main event of Fastlane was that there only seemed like one plausible winner to go to the main event of WrestleMania 32. However, with Ambrose now free of the IC title after RAW, now Kevin Owens can handle that duty and Dean could potentially emerge as Triple H’s competition for Mania.
Things are taking a far more interesting form right now in WWE and Fastlane could only make things more intriguing at WrestleMania 32.
