Victor Oladipo is a promising young shooting guard for the Orlando Magic. Here are five teams that could trade for him by Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

Victor Oladipo is the former No. 2 overall pick by the Orlando Magic out of Indiana University in the 2013 NBA Draft. Oladipo had a tremendous 2012-13 season for the Hoosiers as a junior and has shown flashes of that brilliance in his first three seasons with the Magic.

The Magic are at a bit of a crossroad as an organization, near being competitive and having to make some tough decisions with their young corps. Orlando has to sooner than later decide who is going to end up starting for them at shooting guard opposite of point guard Elfrid Payton: Oladipo, Evan Fournier, or potentially even rookie Mario Hezonja.

While all three wings for the Magic have high upside and are all under 25 years of age, perhaps Oladipo would provide the Magic with the biggest return offer via trade. The Magic are starting to see signs of greatness from power forward Aaron Gordon down low alongside a superstar in the making in center Nikola Vucevic, but Orlando does need to upgrade its depth in the frontcourt to compete with the better teams in the Eastern Conference.

Orlando has yet to make the NBA Playoffs since Dwight Howard left Central Florida before the 2012-13 NBA season. If the Magic are going to make Oladipo available before Thursday’s NBA Trade Deadline, here are five places for the talented shooting guard could potentially land.
