NBA Trade Rumors: Bucks making Michael Carter-Williams available
By Jack Crosby
The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly making point guard Michael Carter-Williams available.
With the 2016 NBA Trade Deadline coming this Thursday, the chatter around the league will be heating up more than ever before. One of the teams that has been talked about here and there are the Milwaukee Bucks, who could be giving up their point guard by the time Thursday comes and goes.
According to a new report from ESPN, while the Bucks have turned down talk of Greg Monroe or Jabari Parker being available, they have let it be known that they will definitely listen to offers for point guard Michael Carter-Williams.
"The Bucks, sources say, are also turning aside the calls they’re getting on young forward Jabari Parker, who continues to recover from ACL surgery, but point guard Michael Carter-Williams is undeniably gettable."
This would be the second time in a year that Carter-Williams would be dealt to a new home. The Bucks acquired the point guard last February in a deal that involved the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns. The Bucks gave away Brandon Knight to Phoenix while the Sixers received the Los Angeles Lakers’ draft pick which they received from the Suns. It was a shocking deal to some at the time, and now it looks as if the Bucks are ready to give away that reward.
For the Bucks this season, Carter-Williams has played in 49 games and he averages 13.6 points per game with 6.5 assists and six rebounds.
As this develops, it’ll be interesting to see who wants to take a flyer on the young point guard that the Bucks have made available.
