The Orlando Magic’s Victor Oladipo may be one of the most surprising names being mentioned in the latest set of NBA trade rumors.

The NBA Trade Deadline is at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday and rumors are beginning to swirl about players moving. Most recently, a three-team deal involving the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, and Miami Heat was mentioned.

However, could there be a surprising name possibly on the move in just three days?

According to Mark Stein and Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Orlando Magic are reportedly open to moving 2013 No. 2 overall pick Victor Oladipo in a trade. They are one of many teams after Hawks point guard Jeff Teague.

The Magic may not be in playoff contention, but seeing them looking to move the University of Indiana product is surprising. He hasn’t had the jump in stats that many were expecting given his 41-percent shooting from the field while averaging just 14.3 PPG. However, he is 23-years-old and may be far away reaching his full potential. Plus selling him when his stock is low seems questionable.

To get Teague, though, a coveted asset will need to be given up to the Hawks. Maybe a swap of these players could fit for both teams if discussions turn this way. Atlanta could use a shooting guard with Kyle Korver not putting up the numbers he did in his career year of 2014-15.

Whatever the case may be, it is shaping up to be an interesting NBA Trade Deadline on Thursday afternoon.
