In an unfortunate accident, a fan was struck by a puck at the Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues game.

While hockey is one of the more exciting sports to watch in person, it’s also really one of the more dangerous to attend. Those professional hockey players are out there on the ice hitting that puck with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, and whiles they’re some of the more skilled players on the planet, sometimes that puck will just get away.

Unfortunately, this was something that occurred during the game on Tuesday night between the St. Louis Blues and Dallas Stars.

During this one, the puck flew right over the glass and it went into the stands, where unfortunately it struck one of the fans in attendance, causing quite the scary scene.

Whenever you see something like this, you automatically assume the worst. Getting smashed by a hockey puck is one of the scariest experiences out there.

Following the puck strike, the fan was helped out of the arena and got an ovation from both the rest of the fans and the players on the ice as well.

Hopefully we come to learn that the fan will be just fine.
