Anderlecht will be welcoming Olympiakos Piraeus to Constant Vanden Stock hoping to secure a berth in the Europa League Round of 16. Here is where to watch.

Anderlecht finished second only to Tottenham in their Europa League group that also contained the likes of Monaco. This Belgian club is not to be trifled with. Domestically, they sit third but they have not lost in four of their last five matches. Boasting such talents as Costa Rican Andy Najar and Belgium’s own Guillaume Gillet, the Purple and White have a strong foundation to put up a strong showing in front of a home crowd.

They will need to build a league with a return trip to Greece on the cards. Few places in the world rival the unfriendliness towards opposing teams as the Greeks. They like their football and their football is Olympiakos Piraeus, who will be biding their time until they can welcome Anderlecht to Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.

Speaking of Olympiakos, the Greek side had a ticket booked for the knockout stages of the Champions League but Olivier Giroud and Arsenal ripped up that ticket, chewed it up and spit it back in their faces, dropping them to the Europa League. That can have a debilitating effect on some squads, but given the atmosphere that is awaiting them on the return leg, the Greeks will find plenty of motivation.

The Greeks will be hoping that Venezuelan forward Felipe Pardo can keep firing, as it would be a veritable Greek tragedy if Olympiakos were to dip out of the Champions League and follow it up with a premature exit from the Europa League as well.
