Borussia Dortmund have rediscovered the way they lost last year and look to capitalize in the Europa League against Porto. Here is where to watch.

Chances are, this is the last time that Borussia Dortmund will be in the Europa League for quite some time. They have been the Bundesliga’s only real competitor for Bayern Munich over the past decade and through it all, they have seemingly always managed to get themselves into the Champions League.

Then last year happened, where they dropped to the relegation zone and clawed their way back up to a Europa League spot. Now, they are back where they should be – in second place behind Bayern Munich. However, that means little to their Europa League stock, as they were not even able to win their group. Russian side FK Krasnodar took that honor.

Don’t let that fool you into thinking Dortmund isn’t here to win it, through.

However, they know it won’t be easy, because FC Porto is another team that rarely ever misses out on some Champions League knockout action. They were knocked down to third in the group stages by Dynamo Kiev and now must be content with matching up against one of Europe’s comeback kids in their hopes for European glory.

Porto is a very strong side behind young striker Vincent Aboubakar, who will be key to their hopeful disruption of Dortmund’s fine form. However, the first leg is in front of the yellow wall of the Westfalenstadion, so it may all be for naught. There are few who stand before the yellow wall and live to tell about it.
