Kings general manager Vlade Divac expects to make a trade on Thursday before the deadline

The Sacramento Kings have been popping up in trade rumors for what feels like months with everyone from Rudy Gay to DeMarcus Cousins to many others surfacing in various rumblings throughout the NBA. However, the Kings have yet to make a trade, but that’s something that the team’s general manager Vlade Divac expects to change on Thursday prior to the 2016 NBA Trade Deadline at 3 p.m. ET.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Divac stated that he believes a trade will be done by some time on Thursday, but added that he had expected a deal to be done at some point on Wednesday, per James Ham of CSN California:

With all of the potentially movable assets that the Kings have the real question is who Divac is planning on moving and for what. Could he be shipping out a big name like Gay or Cousins in a blockbuster deal? Or could he be making a more predictable move given the more recent trade chatter and make a deal to send the highly coveted young guard Ben McLemore out of Sacramento?

The latter or something like it seems like the more likely scenario as of right now. McLemore has reportedly peaked the interest of numerous teams around the league leading up to the deadline. However, when it comes to the Kings you really never know what they are going to do. Since Divac took over in the front office and since Vivek Ranadive became owner, the Kings have been anything but predictable.
