NBA Trade Rumors: Bucks like Ricky Rubio
The latest in the NBA trade rumors surrounds the Milwaukee Bucks possibly having interest in Ricky Rubio.
All the NBA trade rumors will be coming to a close on Thursday afternoon once the trade deadline hits. With moves having already been made along with all the speculation floating around, it should make for an interesting day.
One of the teams that may be active are the Bucks. They may be shopping a few players, including point guard Michael Carter-Williams who arrived at the 2015 Trade Deadline. If so, the Bucks may be targeting someone to replace him, and that could be Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Bucks head coach Jason Kidd is said to be “enamored” with the Spanish guard. Rubio, in his fifth year with Minnesota, is averaging 9.7 PPG, 8.6 APG, and 4.4 RPG. This has been around where his career norms. He is in the first season of a four-year contract extension.
It’s possible the Bucks would look to give the Timberwolves Carter-Williams in any trade involving Rubio. It’s possible other pieces would have to go back as well depending on how much the Wolves value both players. Maybe draft picks or salary to clear space before the cap increases later this year.
