The Houston Rockets are reportedly trying to ship Ty Lawson off to the Utah Jazz.
As we near the NBA Trade Deadline on Thursday, one of the teams that is expected to be making some moves is the Houston Rockets. Of course, most of their talk has centered around trading away Dwight Howard, which is indeed a major deal. However, there is another piece that the team is trying to move — that piece being point guard Ty Lawson.
For a while now we’ve all known that the Rockets have been trying to deal away the man they acquired prior to the season with the hopes that he can control their offense, as the relationship hasn’t quite worked out the way that a lot of people thought it would have.
With this, though, you have to wonder what teams out there would be willing to listen to a deal for Lawson. Well, apparently the Rockets may have found a suitor in the Utah Jazz.

Sources say Houston, well aware Utah has been on the hunt for a veteran point guard for the stretch run, is pitching Ty Lawson to the Jazz

As ESPN’s Marc Stein said there in the report, the Jazz have indeed been on the lookout for a veteran point guard and Lawson certainly fits that bill.
There’s no telling yet whether or not the Rockets will be able to get rid of Howard, but this marriage with Lawson and the Jazz seems all but perfect.
