As the NBA Trade Deadline approaches, it doesn’t look like Brook Lopez will be going anywhere.
We’re approaching the NBA Trade Deadline which will be here on Thursday, and one of the teams that we’ve heard might be active is the Brooklyn Nets. In particular, the name of center Brook Lopez has been thrown around, which would be quite the move for the team to make.
Well, it looks as if we’re not going to be seeing Lopez moved anywhere as time runs down heading into Thursday.
Chris Mannix is reporting that while the Nets have Lopez available for offers, the interest in him from other teams just isn’t there for the time being.
As the deadline gets closer, interest in Nets center Brook Lopez has been nonexistent. Doesn't matter: Ownership wants to keep him around.

A few days ago there were some rumblings that the Nets were in talks with the Raptors in regards to a deal that would have seen Lopez head off to Toronto in exchange for Thaddeus Young, but that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer.
Lopez this season is averaging 20.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Nets, and he’s in the first year of a pretty big contract.
It appears as if he’ll continue playing under that contract with the Nets in the near future.
