No. 23 Providence Friars vs No. 8 Xavier Musketeers
Providence began the season 17-3 and was coming off a huge win against Villanova on the road, but a loss to Xavier in the next game led to defeats in four of six contests. On the verge of completely dropping out of the Top 25, the Friars need a big win against Xavier to stay relevant and make a push for a top-four seed come NCAA Tournament time.

Kris Dunn usually gets most of the love when it comes to NBA Draft talk, but Ben Bentil is every bit as good as the point guard. Dunn is averaging 17.1 points, 6.6 assists and 5.9 rebounds while Bentil is putting up 20.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. These two are a scary duo and are rarely ever on the bench.
Xavier has been one of those surprising teams this season. Everyone knew the Musketeers would be a solid Top 25 team, but not many really saw a No. 8 team with a 22-3 record with less than a month left in the regular season. The Musketeers have won six of seven games, including a seven-point win over Providence a few weeks back.
Trevon Bluiett is the team’s offensive leader, scoring 15 points and grabbing 6.6 rebounds per contest as well as shooting nearly 39 percent from three-point range. Freshman guard Edmond Sumner has been solid all year as the team’s second-leading scorer with 10.9 points per game.
