Villanova Wildcats vs. Temple Owls

The Villanova Wildcats are holding tight to their No. 1 ranking in the college basketball polls, having avoided the cursed upset that has befallen many of the top-ranked teams before them. They’ll hope that continues to be the trend come Wednesday when they travel to the Liacouras Center to face the Temple Owls.

Josh Hart is still the unquestioned captain of the Villanova ship this season and that’s not going to change for the duration for the duration of the season. As the Wildcats get deeper into Big East play, though, the likes of Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu are going to have to contribute more and more. However, Quenton DeCosey and Temple have shown a ton of promise in the American Athletic Conference this season. If DeCosey and Jaylen Bond come to play, the Owls could at least have a shot at toppling No. 1 and beating Villanova.
