Napoli may be looking to vent their frustrations via the Europa League so it will take a stout Villarreal to keep them out. Here is where to watch.

Villareal are sneaking up the La Liga table, as they currently sit just behind the big three. They managed second place in their Europa League group, losing out on a much more favorable draw to Rapid Wien. But they qualified, so here they are.

Needing what is sure to be a big cushion to take into Italy to face high-flying Napoli, Villarreal will be turning to Roberto Soldado, Cedric Bakambu and Bruno for help. These three have accounted for 17 of their 30 goals thus far into the La Liga season and they will be needed if the Yellow Submarine want to hold a candle to their Serie A opponents, who score pretty openly.

Napoli were disappointed to miss out on Champions League football, but they could very easily turn that disappointment into Europa League success. After losing out to Juventus and forfeiting top spot in Serie A over the weekend, the Blues will look for an outlet to their frustrations. Unfortunately for Villarreal, that role falls on them.

Between Gonzalo Higuain, Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens, this Italian side has speed and power galore up front. They have the most goals scored in Italy, six ahead of Roma and seven ahead of league leaders Juventus. And it’s not like their defense is shoddy. Jose Reina is a superb keeper and it will take a lot for Villarreal to beat him more often than they are beat by the likes of Higuain and Insigne.

However, this is not league play. This is the Europa League. With just two matches to play, anything can happen between the two sides.
