Here is everything you need to know about the 2016 offseason for the Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers had one of the most dominant seasons in NFL history in 2015, as the team went 15-1 in the regular season and fell just short of winning Super Bowl 50.

When the team lost Kelvin Benjamin before the season, few people, if any, foresaw the Panthers getting as far as they did. That’s what made their season so special: proving doubters wrong and winning with balance.

The 2015 season saw the ascent of Cam Newton, as he won the league’s MVP and Offensive Player of the Year honors. His team rallied behind his energy and he elevated himself into one of the top superstars in the league.

The defense put together a dominant season behind the likes of Luke Kuechly, Josh Norman and a vicious defensive line. They were a nightmare for offenses on a weekly basis. Needless to say, the Panthers are here to stay going forward.

They have won the NFC South for three consecutive seasons and it’s hard to see any other team dethroning them in their division. Now that they’ve gotten to the Super Bowl as a unit, the next step is returning to the big game and bringing home the franchise’s first Super Bowl.

To get there, they’re going to have to have another strong offseason and a great draft. If they can nail those things, it should put them over the top in the league and the favorites to win Super Bowl LI.

Here are the Panthers’ offseason needs.
