The Hardwood Classics uniforms for seven teams in the 2016-17 NBA season look incredible
Talk of uniforms in the NBA has heated up coming out of the All-Star break after the league experimented with putting ads on the jerseys, something that commissioner Adam Silver has expressed interest in doing for some time now. In the wake of the debate about ads on jerseys, though, the Hardwood Classics jerseys for the 2016-17 season have leaked and they look fantastic.
Graphic designer Conrad Burry released the exclusive look at the Hardwood Classics jerseys that will be worn by seven teams next seasons and they look absolutely phenomenal:
By far the best of the bunch are the orange throwbacks for the Cleveland Cavaliers as those have long been some of the franchise’s best looking uniforms and look far better than several of their alternates. Not far behind them, though, are the Hickory High uniforms for the Indiana Pacers—a divisive opinion, I know—and the New York Knicks. Both of those also are going to look fantastic.
The Hardwood Classics uniforms for the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors are the only other two teams whose alternates are drastically different from their current color schemes and uniforms, but both look really nice. The Los Angeles Lakers’ throwbacks are cool because of the nostalgia they recall for that team, but really aren’t too different from their current uniforms. The same can be said for the Philadelphia 76ers’ as well.
In the end, the whole lot of these Hardwood Classics uniforms are just fantastic and it’ll be a treat seeing them in action for the 2016-17 NBA season.
