What car makeĀ does your favorite NASCAR Sprint Cup driver drive?

While NASCAR’s Sprint Cup has many different teams, the cars are also broken down by car and engine models. Some tracks have success historically depending on the type of car the driver is using.

Overall, the most full-time Sprint Cup teams use Chevrolet engines, but Toyota still finds success overall despite having only three teams using their engine.

Throughout the season, some engine companies succeed at certain races, but have trouble at other venues. It causes issues with crew chiefs and their technical crew. However, they always seem to be able to figure out what went run even if it isn’t solved until after the engine has a major issue forcing a driver out of a race.

Overall, the engine and car groups are referenced often by the broadcasters and as much as breaking them down by team names.

The list of car and engine models are listed below in alphabetical order. It would be wise to keep this list handy on race days so it can be quickly referenced when Chevrolet, Ford, or Toyota cars are mentioned by a member of FOX’s or NBC’s broadcast team.
