No. 11 Miami Hurricanes vs No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels
Sitting in first place in the tough ACC, the Miami Hurricanes have shocked just about everyone up to this point. Miami has a 21-4 overall record and 10-3 mark in conference play with the lone non-conference loss coming via fluke to Northeastern. The Hurricanes come into this one red-hot, winning five straight and eight out of nine.

Senior guard, and Texas Transfer from three years ago, Sheldon McClellan is the unquestioned leader on offense, averaging 16.1 points and shooting about 40 percent from three-point range. Fellow senior guard Angel Rodriguez is second on the team with 11.5 points per game and first in passing with 4.4 assists per contest.
North Carolina might have the most physically talented team in college basketball, but the Tar Heels are coming off a tough home loss at the hands of hated rival Duke. The Tar Heels have also lost three of five teams and are looking for some momentum. A home win versus a ranked ACC opponent would surely help.
The Tar Heels run as Brice Johnson runs, or so it seems. Against Duke, Johnson scored 27 points in the first 27 minutes of the game, but had just two in the final 13 minutes, leading to a one-point home defeat. On the year, he’s averaging 16.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Marcus Paige may be the team leader, though, averaging 12.7 points and 3.7 assists.
