New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis unloaded on the Detroit Pistons with 59 points and 20 rebounds.

New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis put together one of the most impressive performances in NBA history on Sunday. With the Pelicans taking on the Detroit Pistons on the road, Davis took the fight to the Pistons right away.

All day long, Davis was making highlight slams and grabbing boards. The Pelicans would pick up the big win on the road, but more impressively, Davis finished with 59 points and 20 rebounds on the day.

For all the conversation about who is the best young big man in the NBA, Davis reestablished his dominance and put his name right back on top of the discussion if it wasn’t there already. His biggest highlight on Sunday, came courtesy of having the lane open and taking off for the giant slam.

While Davis has done plenty of incredible things already in his young career, this was the first game where he really put his name in the history books and had a performance that people will remember forever.

It might be a down season in New Orleans, but the future is bright with Davis and he continues to grow and improve as a player. On Sunday, he put the league on notice that he’s about to take the next step as a superstar in this league.

“The Brow” took flight a couple of seasons ago in the league, but now he’s soaring majestically.
