A look at the 10 best prospects at outside linebacker in the 2016 NFL Draft

The 2016 NFL Draft is going to be a big year for many positions, but fans can almost certainly expect that there will be a premium placed on finding high-end outside linebacker prospects in the draft. Given what happened in last year’s NFL Draft and the way that Super Bowl 50 played out, quality outside linebackers and edge rushers are arguably more valuable to NFL franchises than ever before.

In Super Bowl 50, it was outside linebacker Von Miller that undoubtedly stole the show and ultimately earned MVP honors. And while Miller may be a once-in-a-generation type of talent at the position and as a lethal edge-rusher, what he accomplished in the big game showed just how value having someone that talented at the position can be for a team.

Moreover, that was something that teams recognized as early as last year’s draft when there were two outside linebackers selected in the first 10 picks in Dante Fowler and Vic Beasley, which was part of four outside linebackers being selected in the first round.

There’s no mistaking the value that’s being put on outside linebackers in the NFL right now and, luckily for all 32 teams in the league, there are some quality prospects at the position in the 2016 NFL Draft.
These are the 10 best of those outside linebacker prospects.

Next: No. 10 Joe Schobert
