Here’s everything you need to know about the San Francisco 49ers‘ 2016 offseason needs.

The San Francisco 49ers disaster of a 2015 season has led to some major changes and now the franchise will take a new step forward under head coach Chip Kelly. It’s hard to pinpoint what exactly went wrong with the 49ers this past season.

Before the season even began, the 49ers’ roster saw drastic changes with a mass exodus of players leaving, retiring, being cut and Jim Harbaugh being let go.

The 49ers thought they could hire Jim Tomsula to take over and guide the ship, but it was clear from the beginning that he was in over his head.

The 49ers fired him and the team decided on hiring the enigmatic Chip Kelly as their head coach. While Kelly’s tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t work out well, the 49ers believe that Kelly is the guy to turn things around. If he isn’t, that should mark the end of the Trent Baalke and Jed York regime.

This is a big season for the 49ers and it will be interesting to see what expectations they have after such a down year. The key should be to see growth under Kelly and hope that the young players continue to develop. They have the No. 7 pick in the draft and will have a chance to land a marquee player to build around.

Here are the 49ers’ 2016 offseason needs.
