Juventus have quite the storied history in the Champions League. As one of the most (nearly) successful teams in the competition, Juventus have landed in the runners-up spot more than anyone else – six times. The most recent was obviously the last competition, when they lost out to everyone’s favorite superpower, 3-1.

But there is no Bayern Munich in Serie A. There is no Bayern Munich anywhere else, really. But add to Juve’s resume the fact that they shut out free-scoring Napoli to take top of Serie A. That counts for something

But again, there is no way to replicate what Bayern Munich is capable of. They have an absolutely destructive force as a team. Even with Pep Guardiola checking out a couple of months in advance, the talent is rampant and they will take no prisoners in their quest to batter and destroy any opposition.

Bayern will have to overcome an experienced side in Italy in the first leg, however, and that is never an easy feat. As the odds on favorite behind Barcelona, the German giants carry a lot of favor, even in such a prestigious competition.

This one figures to be a ran barn burner, so get ready for a good one.
