NBA Rumors: Heat not interested in Michael Beasley reunion

According to a report, the Miami Heat are not interested in a reunion with forward Michael Beasley.

With the playoffs drawing near in the NBA and overseas leagues wrapping up, teams are interested in bringing in players from overseas with previous experience to help them in the stretch run. One of those players that is drawing interest is Michael Beasley.

There was a report that multiple teams were interested in bringing in Beasley, it turns out that one of his former teams might not be. According to Ira Winderman, the Miami Heat are not one of the teams currently interested in bringing back forward Michael Beasley.

While the Heat could certainly use more depth and shooting as they get ready to make a playoff run, it’s clear that they don’t think Beasley is the guy. While he had nice numbers overseas, the Heat have brought him back before and didn’t quite get the production that they wanted out of him.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Heat gauge what else is available before the deadline on March 1, the last day of playoff eligibility for players on the open market. The good news is that Goran Dragic is starting to hit his stride and the Heat’s play has taken off underneath him.

Every team is always looking for more help, but the Heat aren’t looking in Michael Beasley’s direction at the moment.
